One of the better hotels in Lithuania that are also cheap in Kaunas is the Perkuno Namai.  Its rates start at 70 USD.  The owners are personable and it is near to the center of the capital.  It’s also near the train station and airport and gives you easy access while you arrive and when you depart.

 Well any of the surrounding countries are very easy to get to and usually won’t take more than and hour or two to get to.  If you want to go to Rome or Paris, it might take a bit longer but the trips are always worth it.  These cheap hotels in Lithuania are worth staying in if you want to take day trips to other countries because you won’t have to pay full price for other expensive hotels in other places.
