Afghanistan
Afghanistan is a country that is surrounded by land. It is an Islamic country. It is surrounded by other Islamic countries like Pakistan and Iran. The flag of Afghanistan has three colors in it, they are black, green and red. Each color is a vertical strip of equal area. The national emblem is placed in the middle of the flag.
The national emblem of Afghanistan is Mehrab and pulpit. A phrase will be written on the Afghanistan flag “ There is no God but Allah and Mohammad is his prophet”. The flag of Afghanistan also consists of a rising sun with 9 long and 8 short rays and accompanied by a phrase “Allah is Great”.
The colors of the flag can be interpreted as black represents the previous field of afghan flags, red represents modernity and progress, and green represents Islam. The flag of Afghanistan has been adopted January 27,2002 and it has been abolished on January 4,2004. this is mainly due to the current forces in power in Afghanistan, there has always been a lot of turmoil in the country and it saw war many times more than its other Asian counterparts. Currently also Afghanistan is in a political tumoil, though there are a lot of efforts being made to restore peace. |
