Flags of Algeria

Algeria is an Islamic country. It’s official language is Arabic. It is situated in Africa. It’s official name is AL-jumhuriyahal-jaza’iriyah ad-Dimuqratiyah ash-sha’biyah (people’s democratic Republic of Algeria). The flag of Algeria has three colors in it green, red and white. The green and white colors form two rectangles of equal area. A symbol of star and a crescent will be found in red color. The star has five corners which is inscribed in a circle. The flag of Algeria was first hosted on 3july, 1962.The present flag of Algeria was endorsed by national liberation front in 1954.The meanings of color used in the Algerian flag are green represents Islam, white represents Abdel-kader, who fought for Algeria against French in 1847.

Algerian flag also provides same flag to its own country, however, it allows the Algerian Navy to include small addition to the flag, this addition comes in form of two anchors on the left hand corner of the flag, in color red. Algerian flag is unique because it gives importance to both, the religion and peace which is highly important for growth and development. Algerian flag also pays tribute to its martyrs who fought against foreign elements before formation of Algeria.
