Bolivia
Bolivia named after Simon Bolivar who fought for independence of Bolivia. It is located in the central South America. It’s major neighboring country is Brazil. It’s official languages are Spanish, Qvechua and Aymara. The current flag of Bolivia was endorsed in the year 1851.The flag is tricolored with colors red, yellow and green.
The colors used in the flag of Bolivia can be interpreted as red represents the bravery of the Bolivian soldier. Green represents the fertility of land, yellow represents the country’s mineral resources. There are two flags one is the civil flag which is a plain flag which is a plain tri-band and other is a state flag. Tri-band with coat of arms on it. The state flag is hardly seen are used anywhere in Bolivia .
The presidential palace also is seen with the civil flag on it. The coat of arms design can be described as follows, it has an oval border, yellow in upper half with a phrase “Republic Bolivian” and blue in the lower part with six five cornered yellow colored stars. In center of the flag there are a palm, a sun, a mountain, a prairie, a sheaf of wealth. The background is white in upper part and green in lower part. |
