Flags of Canada

Canada is located in the northern America. It is the second largest country in the world, next to Russia. It’s neighboring countries are Alaska, united states. It’s coastline is formed by pacific ocean and Atlantic ocean. The flag of Canada has two colors, red and white in it, the flag is divided into three vertical stripes. The middle stripe is white in color, which is juxtaposed by red stripes on either side. In the white stripe an eleven-pointed maple leaf symbol is imprinted which is in red color. The width of the center stripe is half the length of the flag and the other two stripes divide the remaining half of the flag equally. King George has officially declared the colors of the flag of Canada in the year 1921.

The color white was inspired from the French emblem and the red color was inspired from the St.George’s cross. The flag of Canada was endorsed on October 22, 1964. During the First World War, the Canadian army carried a flag, which had a symbol of maple leaf, Pearson was the prime minister then, later when the flag of Canada was being designed Pearson played a major role in placing the symbol of maple leaf on the flag of Canada.
