In the year 1923 Egypt got its first national flag, this was when the British decided to give Egypt conditional independence, original flag was of color green with half moon in color white and three stars, however later during the 1958,
There was another decree obtained which allowed the traditional flag of Egypt to be changed, according to the Incorporated Arabian Republic which was for the unison of Syria and Egypt.The new flag included three colours - red, white with two green stars in the middle, and black. In 1972 the gold hawk has replaced the stars. In 1984 a gold eagle has replaced the hawk.
The red colour of the flag carries to the timepiece till 1952 when the authority had militaries. At this time Egypt struggled against the British dictatorship. White symbolizes a revolution of 1952, which has put an end to a monarchy without bloodshed. Black colour means the termination of Britain board above Egypt.
The flag is accepted in 1984. It is used on a land as a civil and a national flag and on the sea as a civil flag. The gold eagle is a symbol of Saladin (Salah al-Din), the Egyptian sultan who has headed in XII century the struggle against the crusaders. In 1984 gold eagle ("eagle of Saladin") replaced the gold falcon. So the flag has accepted the modern
