The flag of France can be pictorially described as, it has three colors in it blue, white and red. The flag is divided in to three vertical stripes with colors blue, white and red from left to right. The colors are basically those of Paris as used on the day of the storming of the Bastille, mixed with royal white. The different colors of France flag can be interpreted as, blue represents the charity as according to a famous story, Saint Martin a rich Gallo-Roman officer charitably tore his blue coat to give half of it to a beggar begging in streets, white stands for Virgin Mary and the color red in flag stands for Saint Davis, a saint very much revered upon in Paris. |
