Gabon is accepted in 1960. The flag of the country represents tricolour with horizontally placed strips. From above there is a strip of green colour, in the middle - yellow, and below - dark blue. The green colour is a symbol of equatorial forests of the country, which wood formed the basic part of the Gabon’s economy. The yellow symbolizes the sun, which shined on the country every day of the year and also the equator, which pass over it. The blue color shows the connection of Gabon with the ocean and the navigation. |
