Flags of Idaho

Idaho is 43-rd state of the USA since 3rd July 1890. About the name of the state there is a beautiful legend, narrating that the word has occurred from the Indian phrase "E Dah Hoe" that ostensibly means "a mountain stone". Actually it is not so, Idaho is the artificial name (whom and when contrived -the history keeps silent). The economy of the state is based on agriculture (cultivation of cattle, barley and potatoes), but the industry is developed enough too (extraction of silver and other minerals, chemical, food industry). Symbols of Idaho are a white pine and a mountain bluebird (a small songbird with a dark blue back).

This state has a very interesting and cognitive flag full of latent sense. A dark blue background and a seal of the state: the woman symbolizes freedom, equality and validity. The man is a miner. The pictures represent the main branches of the life of labour: forestry, agriculture and the mining industry. The horns of the plenty are symbols of the riches, and the head of the elk symbolizes the wild nature. The words "Esto perpetua" (let it will be eternal) and the inscription "State of Idaho" are printed with header letters. This work of art was accepted as a flag of the Idaho in 1907.
