Kazakhstan is accepted in 1993. The flag of the country presents a rectangular canvas of blue colour with an image of a sun with rays in its centre, under which, there is a soaring eagle. At the foundation a vertical bar is placed with a national decorative pattern. Representing of the sun, rays, eagle and the decorative pattern are with colours of gold.
Accepted in 1993 the blue colour of the flag symbolizes the water and the sky. The sun is a symbol of riches and vital energy; the gold eagle symbolizes a freedom, force and sagacity. The national decorative pattern, placed at the foundation of the flag carries the name “sheep’s horns”. In a competition, devoted to the development of state flag, more than 600 projects took a part. After the selection of the four most interesting project by a commission, they were pulled out on the discussion of the Supreme Soviet of Republic Kazakhstan. |
