Flags of Kentucky

Kentucky is a state in the south of the USA. The official nickname of Kentucky is a Bluegrass State. The name of Kentucky occurs from the American Indian name of the same river about the meaning of which disagreements till now are kept. On one of the versions, expression is meant "Dark and bloody territory of hunting". The variants are "the Tomorrow's country ", "the Earth of meadows ", etc. The flag of Kentucky presents the state’s seal in the centre of the dark blur background.
