The flag of Macedonia is accepted on 5 October 1995.
It represents a canvas of red colour with the symbolic image of the sun with eight rays of yellow colour. It is used on a land as a state, civil and military flag.
The national emblem of Macedonia consists of two sheaves of wheat, leaves of tobacco and poppy, bandaged by a ribbon, inclined to each other, down there is a part of the national traditional suit. In the center of the thus appearing round space are placed mountain, rivers, lakes and sun, the rays of which adjoin with the red five-ended star. All of this is called to symbolize the riches of the country, its freedom and resistance. The coat of arms is accepted on 31 December 1946. |
