Flags of Michigan

The design of the flag of Michigan is not the same with the color motif being used by other U.S states which are red, blue and white. It is different from the other state flags. The flag of Michigan is composed of a blue base and right on the center is the Michigan's coat of arms. In the state's coat of arms, there is a man standing on a peninsula having his one hand being raised and the other hand is holding a gun, this symbolizes the man's willingness and preparedness in defending the nation. There is word TUEBOR being written right on the shield which signifies Michigan's position in the frontier state. The moose and elk symbolize the wildlife of the state. The eagle is the U.S.A's national bird and it signifies the ultimate authority of U.S.A over its state, Michigan. On the flag there are three arrows and a branch of olive which has 13 olives on it. The 13 olives symbolize the thirteen original colonies that formed part of the union. The branch of olive stands for U.S.A's desire for peace.
