Flags of
Morocco
Morocco is located in the northern Africa. It’s neighboring countries are Spain, Algeria and Western Sahara. Its coastline is formed by North Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea. Mountains all over with Atlas Mountains and Rif Mountains cover Morocco. The original inhabitants in the mountain ranges are Berber people.
The flag of morocco has two colors in it, red and green. The flag had a red background with a green-colored five-pointed star in the center of the flag. The five-pointed star is called as “the seal of Solomon”. The green and red colors used in the flag of Morocco are Islamic colors by themselves i.e. the colors represent Islam. The red color in the flag of Morocco is used to represent the revival of Moroccan dynasty.
The seal of Solomon represents the connection between the god and the nation. The Moroccan flag was endorsed on November 17, 1915. The seal of the Solomon was originally used in the 17th century by the Moroccan dynasty to differentiate their flag from similar red colored flags. Morocco gained its independence from France on March 2, 1956. The flag of morocco has never changed from independence of morocco from France and Spain. |
