Flags of New Jersey

New Jersey flag was actually created in 1780 though it was accepted in the year 1896, the flag was actually created by General George Washington was its arms line called the New Jersey Continental Line, in the year 1779. New Jersey flag is light pink or buff in color, this flag has the coat of arms of the state in the center of the flag, the flag of New Jersey also shows that the state was third one to join the USA by showing 3 ploughs in the flag. The ploughs on the flag also show that the state was mainly an agricultural state. Since the main profession of the state of agriculture the New Jersey flag shows on one side Goddess of Agriculture, Ceres and on the other hand Statue of Liberty, for freedom. Ceres is also known to be the goddess of plenty and prosperity. Both Goddesses hold the shield in the flag showing importance of the State on a ribbon.
