Flags of Pakistan

Pakistan was founded on religious grounds, therefore, flag too depicts importance of Islamic religion, the flag is green in background and according to the Islamic flag there is a cresent moon with a star placed in the middle of the moon, the star is a five pinted star. Though the major religion in Pakistan is Islam, the country has made an effort of showing that there does exist other religions too, which is symbolized according to the new meaning by the white stripe and the color green is universally accepted as a symbol of prosperity, and the white stripe stands for peace. Most importantly knowledge too plays an important role, and is depicted in the flag by the crescent moon.

Originally flag of Pakistan was the flag of All India Muslim League a political organization, however, after the British laid separation of two countries, the flag was accepted by Pakistan as the flag of their country, in the year 1947. originally the flag was created in the year 1906. The flag is also called as ‘green flag with a crescent’.
