The flag of Portugal consists of two vertical stripes. Color green is the left stripe of the flag whereas color red is the right stripe of the flag. The stripes are not equally proportioned, the green band is only two thirds of the flag and the red one is larger by the proportion of 3:5. Flag of Portugal also depicts the coat of arms in the center of the flag.
