Flags of Serbia

Serbia is located in southeastern Europe Balkans and in the central Europe Pannonian plain. Its neighboring countries are Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, the Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro, and Romania. It is a land locked Country, it has no coastline although Adriatic is accessible through Montenegro. It has a varied natural resources like oil, gas, coal, iron ore, bauxite, copper, lead, zinc, antimony, chromites, nickel, gold, silver, magnesium. It covers on of the major land routes from central Europe to turkey.

The flag of Serbia is divided into three horizontal stripes. The colors used in the flag are red, blue and white. The top stripe is red, the middle stripe is blue and the bottom stripe is white. Coat of arms is placed in the hoist side of the flag of Serbia. The flag of Serbia was first raised in June 5, 2006. The design of the Serbian flag is based on the Serbia’s revolt against ottoman’s rule. The white, red and blue color combination is called as pan-Slavic colors. The coat of arms of Serbia has a two-headed eagle with its tongue out. A crown is placed on the top of the coat of arms.
