Sierra Leone is located in western Africa. It’s neighboring countries are guinea, Africa and Liberia. It’s coastline is formed by north Atlantic ocean. The climate of Sierra Leone is normally hot. Hammaten winds and dust storm are the major hazards to Sierra Leone. Sierra Leone is officially called as republic of Sierra Leone. The country owes its name to the Portuguese explorer Pedro de Sintra. The mines available in Sierra Leone are diamonds, gold, bauxite and titanium oxide.

The flag of Sierra Leone can be described as, it is divided into three horizontal stripes. The colors used in the flag are green, white and blue. The top stripe is green, the middle stripe is white and the bottom stripe is blue. The flag of Sierra Leone was adopted in 1961. The colors of the flag of Sierra Leone can be interpreted as, green represents the hilly mountains, white represents unity and justice and blue represents waves.
