Slovakia is located in central Europe. It is a land locked country, it has no coastline. It’s neighboring countries are Czech republic, Austria, Poland, Ukraine and Hungary. It’s largest city is Bratislava. Slovakia became independent on 1 January 1993, with the peaceful decision of Czechoslovakia. The Slavic people immigrated into Slovakia in 5th and 6th century ad during migration of nations.

The flag of Slovakia can be described as, it consists of three horizontal stripes of equal area in the colors used in the flag are white, blue and red. The top stripe is white, the middle stripe is blue and the bottom stripe is red. Towards the left side of the flag of Slovakia, the coat of arms is imprinted, which is outlined in white. The meaning of the flag is coat of arms represents its past link with Hungary and it modified version of coat of arms of Hungary. Slovakia believes in orthodox Christianity and this is represented by the presence of cross in arms, the mountains depicted in Slovakia flag also represent mountains Tatra, Fatra and the Matra.
