South Africa is located in the southern tip of the continent. Its neighboring countries are Namibia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Botswana. The natural resources of the country are gold, chromium, antimony, coal, iron ore, gem diamonds, platinum, copper, vanadium manganese, nickel, phosphates, tin, uranium, salt, natural gas.
The flag of South Africa has six colors in it, red, black, yellow, blue, green and white. The flag has two horizontal stripes of colors red and blue. The upper stripe is red and the lower stripe is blue. Between the both stripes a “Y” shape is formed, which is in green color and a narrow white strip is present around the periphery of the “Y” shape. Black isosceles triangle is on the left side of the flag and the outline provided to it is in yellow. The colors black, green and yellow have been inspired from the political party of Nelson Mandela. |
