Sudan
Sudan is located in the northeastern Africa. its neighboring countries are Egypt, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Chad, central African republic. It is the largest country in Africa. It’s natural resources are petroleum, small reserves of iron ore, zinc, tungsten, mica, silver, gold, hydropower, copper and chromium ore. Its natural hazards are dust storms and periodic droughts.
The flag of Sudan has four colors in it, red, white and black. The flag of Sudan is divided into three horizontal stripes. The top stripe is red in color, the middle stripe is white and the bottom stripe is black. A green triangle is on the hoist side of the flag and its vertex is in the middle of the flag. The colors used in the flag green, red, white and black are Arabic colors, which are used on the flags of all Arabic countries.
The red color in the flag represents the struggle of Sudan’s people for independence, the white color in the flag represents peace, light and optimism, and black color in the flag represents the people of Sudan and the country of Sudan. The white color also is used to represent the white flag league, which fought for the independence of the country. The Sudan flag was endorsed on May 20, 1970 |
