Taiwan is located in the Eastern Asia. Taiwan is formed by a group of Islands in the East China Sea, Philippine Sea, and South China Sea. Its neighboring countries are Philippines and China. It is subjected to natural hazard like earthquakes and typhoons. Among the numerous islands, the main island is Taiwan Island. The climate of Taiwan is generally marine with 50% of the land as forests. The flag can be pictorially described as, it has three colors red, blue and white. The main color in the flag of Taiwan is red. A smaller rectangle in the hoist side is formed, which is in blue color. A sun in white color is present in the blue rectangle.

The colors used in the flag of Taiwan can be interpreted as red represents the land of china itself. The man race was the most dominant race among many races of china, which idolizes the color red. The white sun represents the spirit of progress and twelve rays of the sun represent the twelve hours of the day. The sun on the blue filed is the flag of the political party, which ruled Taiwan till 2000.
