Tanzania is located in east Africa. It is officially called the united republic of Tanzania. It’s neighboring countries are east Africa, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, democratic republic of Congo, Zambia, Halawai and Mozambique. It’s coast line is formed by Indian ocean. The country is named after Tanganyika and Zanzibar. The country is formed in the year 1964. its capital is changed from Dar es Salaam to Dodomia in 1996. Tanzania is home of the oldest human settlements, proved by fossils exhorted from Olduvai Gorge in north Tanzania, called as “cradle of earth”.

The flag of Tanzania was officially endorsed on June 30, 1964. the flag of Tanzania has four colors in it black, yellow, blue and green. The flag is divided diagonally into two halves with a black stripe bordered by yellow stripe on either side. The flag of Tanzania symbolizes the merging of its two constituent parts. The green part represents Tanganyika and the blue stripe represents Zanzibar. Blue symbolizes the sea and was taken from Zanzibar flag. Green represents land and people of Tanzania.
