It is suffering from problems like toxic and hazardous waste disposal and limited supply of potable water. The flag of Tunisia was officially endorsed on 1 June 1959. The colors used in the flag of Tunisia are red and white. The flag has a red background.
A white disc is present in the middle of the flag. Inside the white disc a crescent and a five-pointed star in red are imprinted. The white disc in the flag of Tunisia represents the sun. The crescent moon and the five-pointed star represents Islam. The waxing moon according to Islam brings luck and red represents fight against Turkish rule. |
