Flags of
Ukraine
Ukraine is located in the Eastern Europe. It is second largest country in Europe. It’s neighboring countries are Poland, Slovakia, Hungary, Belarus, Moldova, Romania, and Russia. It’s coastline is formed by black sea.
The country has a vast fertile land and most of the major occupation is agriculture. It has a supply of natural resources like natural gas, oil, graphite, titanium and mercury. The country suffers from inadequate supply of potable water.
The flag of Ukraine was officially endorsed on September 4, 1991, just after disintegration of soviet union. The flag of Ukraine is divided into two equal halves horizontally forming two stripes. The top stripe is blue and bottom stripe is yellow.
The colors blue and yellow depict the colors of sky, mountains, streams and golden fields, which symbolize Kyvian Rus’. The flag of Ukraine has been banned when it was under the rule of Germany and Soviet Union. The darker or lighter colors of Ukraine aren’t related to the political history of the country. |
