Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan is located in central Asia, officially called as republic of Uzbekistan. It is a doubly land locked country, it has no coastline. It’s neighboring countries are Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Turkmenistan. It has a treasure of natural resources like natural gas, petroleum, gold, and uranium.
The geographical significance of this country is it is the only doubly land locked country apart from Liechtenstein. Uzbekistan adopted the post-communist symbols and became the first country in Asia to announce its independence from Russia.
There are three horizontal equal sized stripes in the flag of Uzbekistan one is blue on top which also has stars in the left hand corner, the middle one is white in color and the lower one is green.
The meaning to the upper star crescent has been to signify that the nation was reborn, and there are 12 stars to represent the 12 zodiac signs, the white is for peace and the green stripe is for nature, and the color red thin stripes in the middle are of force of life. Water too has been given importance in the flag when the blue color has been depicted to show water. |
