Flags of Wisconsin

Wisconsin flag tries and makes enough effort to depict what the state really stands for, the seal of the state is in the middle, the background color of the flag is blue, the year in which the state got its freedom is mentioned above the seal of the state of Wisconsin and that is the year 1848. Wisconsin is also known as the ‘Badger State’ this is because there is a badger shown in the seal of the state. Flag of Wisconsin also shows, all that is important in the state namely agriculture, mining, manufacturing and navigation. All the professions are depicted on the flag, through plough, shovel, an arm and hammer and an anchor, respectively.

The Wisconsin flag also contain the motto of the states “E Pluribus Unum” meaning 'From Many, One', on the belt. This refers to the formation of the United States of America from by inclusion of many states. That the state of Wisconsin is loyal to the United States of America is also shown on the flag of Wisconsin. Wisconsin state sea, at also supports hard work, this is depicted by presence of two men a sailor and miner who support the shield, though Wisconsin was the 30th state to join USA, the flag also denotes the 13 actual states which formed the country, through presence of a pyramid which has 13 ingots, these also represent the mineral wealth of the state. That there is abundance in the state is depicted through the overflowing fruit baskets at the feet of the two men supporting the shield. Wisconsin became a state in 1848, after modifications to the flag the current flag dates from 1981.
