Zambia
Zambia is located in southern part of Africa. It is a land locked country. It’s neighboring countries are Congo, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Tanzania and Zimbabwe. Due to the altitude Zambia has a moderate climate. It has a wide variety of natural resources like gold, emerald, silver, uranium, copper, cobalt and zinc. The hazards posed by nature are tropical storms during November and April. The flag of Zambia has three colors namely green, black and orange. The flag of Zambia has a green background. The flag has three vertical stripes at the flying side in the bottom. A black stripe is sand witched between two orange stripes on either side. Above the three stripes a flying eagle in orange is imprinted.
The flag of Zambia was endorsed on 24 October 1964. The green stands for struggle for freedom, the black represents people of Zambia, orange stands for natural resources of the country. The eagle stands for the ability of people to rise above the odds of the nation. |
