Flags of Europe

The Flag of Europe incorporates a circle that is a design of twelve golden close to yellowish colored stars. This design is done up on a blue background and it is frequently linked with the European Union (EU) which was earlier also known as “European Community”.

They took on the flag in the year 1980 but however the first ones to take over the flag were the Council of Europe (CoE) in the year 1955.It is a known fact that there have been quite a number of other flags that have been developed by European bodies. The present flag denotes two stripes, where there is a blue stripe right at the top, and then there is a black stripe which is right at the bottom with 6 silver stars, 3 designed on each stripe. One of the recent events includes one such event where the flag was to have been given a recognized status in the anticipated European Constitution.

As the flag has been primarily been developed and designed by the Council of Europe, it so holds complete copyright for the flag. It is also stated that in theory the Secretary General of the Council of Europe could certainly out restriction on the EU from also using it.

It could also be prominently seen that the European flag was hoisted at the victory of Europe over USA at the Ryder Cup. In exacting the European flag has become a standard for pro-Europeanism outside the Union.
