Travel Maps of Bahrain

Bahrain is a tiny island broken away from the Arabian mainland.

It is connected to the Arabian Peninsula by a bridge across the Arabian Sea.

Bahrain maps are almost unseen because of its small size. The map of Bahrain is only 665 Sq. Km. in area.

The country’s economy survives on oil drilling and refining.

Although a small country, it has been a favorite among the visitors to the Arabian mainland because of its liberal culture and the openness of the population. The country has a high ratio of foreigners who form the part of the country’s workforce.

The country’s history dates back to 6000 BC when it is expected to have broken away from the Arabian mainland.

Bahrain embraced Islam in 700 AD and was ruled by a number of Muslim rulers before Portuguese took possession of the country in the 16th century for a brief period, before the Persians conquered and ruled the country.

The current ruler Al-Khalifa took over the reigns from Persia and has since been ruling the country. The liberal outlook of the country makes Bahrain tourism as an ideal Bahrain travel destination in the Arabian Peninsula.

The country also boasts of a number of monuments, which are still admired for its architecture. The market (South) is worth a visit for all the visitors. There are many museums, sightseeing spots, museums and amusement parks.

No visit to this country would be complete without making a visit to the soukh that is a perfect blend of colors, aromas and sounds. From cloths to jewellery to traditional spices, you can get everything.

Moreover, the whole shopping experience is even more challenging with the bartering system that still prevails here!
