The name Gujarat is derived from the ancient name Gujarata which is believed to refer to the nation of Gujars who were a tribe belonging to Central Asia which later migrated to India.
The state of Gujarat lies towards the extreme west of the Republic of India. The total land area of the state is estimated to be around 196,024 square kilometers (around 75,685 square miles). The total land area of the state can also be viewed on a relative scale in Gujarat maps. The capital of the states is Gandhinagar. The total population of the state of Bihar is estimated to be vast and amongst the top most in the country.
