Iceland
Iceland is one of the countries in Western Europe. From the year 874, the country is holding a history of habitation.
According to the map of the Iceland the Norwegians were the first who come and permanently settled in Iceland. It is believed that Iceland was discovered and settled by the Norse explorers in the second half of the 9th century AD. The map of Iceland says that the country is located in the North Atlantic Ocean.
The south of the country is Artic Circle. Its Northern coast included Grimsey Island. The country is also considered as a part of Europe. Geographically the country involves in two continents, i.e., America and Europe.
Iceland is well known for its large number of lakes and lagoons. The Iceland tourism is also promoting and welcoming worldwide tourists to their wide varities of lake assets.
Oskjuvatn, Hvalvatn, Jokulsarlon, Pingvallavatn, Porisvatn, Logurinn, Kleifarvatn, Hvitarvatn, Langisjor are consisderd as the deepest lakes in Iceland.
Porsvatn, Pingvallavatn, Logurinn etc are considered as the largest lake in Iceland. Lots of festivals, Museums, are also you can find here. Iceland Tourism industry is also attracting the visitors to their numerous species of wild life and plants.
It includes mammals like arctic fox, mink, mice, rats, rabbits, reindeer etc. and also preserving numerous varieties of fish.
