This small city, which grew fast during mid1880s, was an origin for gold hunters and nation’s cattle business. Its growth was partially due to the Missouri-Pacific Railroad in 1865 and then the expansion of the Missouri river with the Hannibal Bridge in 1869. Kansas tourism is concerned; all these factors contributed to the city’s rapid growth and increased travel business by tourists. The Kansas City, that was once a purely agricultural area, is now center of tourists and travelers of Kansas, and has become a major economic base of the US. The city owns 211 parks and playgrounds, 1100 churches, 7 television stations, Museums and best hotels. The city also exhibits dinosaur bones, the award winning and famous elderberry wine, and offers the best fishing spots. |
