This small city, which grew fast during mid1880s, was an origin for gold hunters and nation’s cattle business. Its growth was partially due to the Missouri-Pacific Railroad in 1865 and then the expansion of the Missouri river with the Hannibal Bridge in 1869. Kansas tourism is concerned; all these factors contributed to the city’s rapid growth and increased travel business by tourists.
