The name Massachusetts has several meanings – “at the range of hills”, “by the many small hills” or “at the great hill”. As per the Map of Massachusetts, it is the Commonwealth State. If you refer to the Map of Massachusetts, it is located on the north side of Vermont and New Hampshire. It has the third highest population density in the US. As per a recent survey, majority of the population in this State lives in the Boston metropolitan area as per the Map of Massachusetts.

Massachusetts is a noteworthy State in American history. The Kennedy family is from the same State, and many other prominent leaders also came from the State. Massachusetts was once dependent upon trade and agriculture, but today it is a major manufacturing center. It excels in health care, high technology and higher education.

There are many tourist places in Massachusetts that attract tourists to this Commonwealth State.  Some of them are Boston Common (The oldest park in the State), Hancock Tower, Beacon Hill, Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, the famous Cambridge city, the Charlestown district, the Children's Museum, the excellent Computer Museum, Museum of Fine Arts, the State House (1798) and the old State House (1713).
