Montana
The Map of Montana explores that Montana State is located in the Great Plains area and the Pacific Northwest area of the United States of America. Montana was a land of Native Americans at the time of Louisiana Purchase that took place in 1803 as per the Map of Montana. The Map of Montana also reveals that it is surrounded by the longest range of Mountains, out of which 77 mountains are named. The name Montana comes from a Spanish term, which literally means “Mountain”. Some other nicknames for Montana State are "Land of Shining Mountains", "Big Sky Country” and "Treasure State". The State’s famous sogan is “”the last best place”.
The State’s economy is based on lumber and mineral extraction and agriculture. It’ ranks fourth in US as per the area, but has the third lowest population density. Tourism is very important for its economy, and thousands of visitors visit this picturesque State annually. The most frequently visited spots are the Battle of Little Bighorn site, the Glacier National Park (with 50 glaciers and more than 200 lakes and streams) and the Yellowstone National Park which has crystal clear lakes, huge waterfalls, and wild animals like bears, elks, coyotes and birds. Some other tourist’s favorite places of Montana are Museums, Educational institutes and the libraries.
