The Native Americans initially inhabited New Jersey, and it became a part of Britain in 1664.As per the Map of New Jersey, its geographical location has given it an edge over other states in the US. New Jersey played an important part during both world wars as a naval production center for building destroyers, Battleships and cruisers. It was also a major participant during the cold war era. New Jersey was often victim of great floods and blizzards, although tropical storms and hurricanes are not that frequent.
