The map of Norway shows its area as 386,683 sq. km and the capital of the country is Oslo.
If you were to see the Norwegian map, it would show that that the coastline is broken up by many fjords.
It has a tiny population and the people of Norway enjoy a very high standard of living. Vikings set sail from the shores and they were feared warriors. Later it was ruled by Denmark. From 1815 till its independence in 1905, it gained its independence.
It remained neutral during World War 1 but was occupied by the Germans during the Second World War.It has major trade with the European Union though it has refused the membership of the EU twice.
In June and July, the sun hardly sets and this is the major tourist season. Norway tourism industry is also known as ‘The Land of Midnight Sun’. Oslo is great place with a vibrant night life and has many literary joints also.
The major industries which also make Norway travel destinations for many professionals and businessmen are offshore drilling for oil and natural gas.
Fishing is also a major industry as is wood pulp, paper and other technological products. Almost a third of the country lies in the Artic Area and there are many people who live in this area.
