The map of Philippines shows the islands to be situated at the Southeast coast of Asia.

The country maps show that only around 7% of islands have an area exceeding one square mile.

The largest of them are the Luzon in its northern side; Mindanao is located in its south and last but not least is Samar.

These islands are from the volcanic origins. Mount Apo is its highest peak on Mindano. It is about 9, 690 ft. high.
