Travel Maps of
Philippines
The map of Philippines shows the islands to be situated at the Southeast coast of Asia.
The country maps show that only around 7% of islands have an area exceeding one square mile.
The largest of them are the Luzon in its northern side; Mindanao is located in its south and last but not least is Samar. These islands are from the volcanic origins. Mount Apo is its highest peak on Mindano. It is about 9, 690 ft. high.
From the 14th Century A.D., Philippines have been conducting extensive trade with Japan, India, Indonesia and China. They achieved their complete independence in 1946 on 4 July.
Philippines tourism authority was established long back in 1973 to promote tourism at the islands. The Manila Ocean Park in the foreshore area, situated close to Quirino Grandstand ensures a great marine experience to its visitors.
Sharks, rays and other marine species can be witnessed by the guests themselves. Various beaches and marine museums can be visited for more adventure.
Shopping and food entertainment are all the more exciting when you are exploring the place. The panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean add to the scenic beauty of the place making your stay a memorable one. All this together greatly contributes to the Philippines tourism industry
