This region is then further divided in to 223 municipalities.The province takes up a total are of approximately 6,207 square kilometers and has a population of about 504,825 inhabitants. The region is well known for its mountains and the mountain range can be followed on the map of Trentino South. The mountain ranges attract visitors from all over, as the famous Alps are also accessible form this region, and Trentino South’s tourism improves because of it.
Despite the mountainous terrain the agricultuaral sector can not be over looked and is an important part of the growing economy of the region. The main product is fruit based and the region produces a large amount of high quality apples, grape wines and vegetables. Trade routes also help Trentino South travel in the region as a result.
